Essay

Comparative estimation of the efficacy of the basic (medicamental) and complex therapy which included additional use of hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) carried out at optimum therapeutic regimen (0,17 MP with isopressure effect for 40 min) in the treatment of patients with vibratory disease (VD) was performed. Vegetative reactivity (VR) to hyperoxia in such patients in accordance with the dynamics of heart rhythm variability (HRV) findings obtained during the seances of HBO was studied and peculiarities of VR dependence on the severity of the disease and efficacy of its treatment were determined. Two types of reactivity were revealed - normal and decreased. Normal type of reactivity was more often noted in-patients at the I stage of the disease. This type of reactivity reflected an adequate activation of adaptive-accommodative mechanisms to hyperoxia and ensured high therapeutic effect. Decreased type of reactivity was a mainly noted in-patient at the II stage of the disease. This type of reactivity reflected inhibition of adaptive-compensating processes to hyperoxya and prevented achievement of high therapeutic effect. The indices of HRV exactly reflecting the changes of VR to hyperoxia patients with VD were determined. On the basis of the findings obtained the algorithm of choice of therapeutic regimens of HBO for each individual patient with VD was worked out.
