Shvets H. The Vasуl Barka's Essay Prose: The Genre Specific and Problems.

Dissertation is the first integral research of Vasуl Barka's essay prose - his religion texts ("Sky Horseman"), the book about P. Tychyna "The Peasant Orfey or Clarіnetizm", literary-philosophical and critical essays of the collection "Earth of the Gardeners". It is investigated essay's genre essence, characterized its specific features and peculiarities, defined essay as hybrid genre opened to contacts with other structures. It is interpreted the Barka's Christian conception of creation and art, showed its logic in meditations about literary, political, national, philosophical problems in the texts of different structure. The main genre-style modifications of Barka's essay prose are an essay-sermon, a lyrical essay, an essay-review, a literary-philosophical essay.
