The thesis presents the investigation of influence that family factors have on maternal sphere development in pregnant women with risk of miscarriage. Personal challenges of pregnancy affecting development of maternal sphere and prenatal attachment were scrutinized, such as establishment of relations with significant others, creation of mothering Self-conception and integration of the new body image. Family determinants of maternal sphere development in women with risk of miscarriage were analyzed in terms of the family system theory. The systemic impact of family factors on the maternal sphere development in the period of pregnancy was shown.
