Object of research: economic conditions and the mechanism of formation of a production efficiency of vegetables of the closed ground with the profound studying manufacture in winter hothouses of Southern Steppe of Ukraine (the Zaporozhye, Kherson, Odessa and Nikolaev areas and Autonomous republic Crimea). The purpose of research: development of organizational - economic actions on increase of economic efficiency of functioning of the agricultural enterprises which specialize on manufacture of vegetables of the closed ground in view of transition to the advanced market relations. A method: dialectic, abstract - logic, statistical, monographic, settlement, graphic, monographic, expert estimations, the factorial and correlation analysis, economic modelling, balance. Theoretical and practical results: Offers concerning increase of a production efficiency of vegetables of the closed ground and concrete actions which realization will enable to satisfy in the long term needs of the population for fresh vegetable production to accordingly scientifically proved norms of consumption due to own manufacture in view of export and import of production are proved, the basic directions of decrease of expenses for manufacture are determined, first of all due to use енерго-and ресурсозберегающих technological decisions and change of terms of realization of production. Scientific novelty: The estimation of efficiency of a complex of technological decisions and organizational actions of reconstruction of hothouse combines is offered, have received the further development methodical approaches concerning an estimation of a production efficiency of vegetables of the closed ground on the basis of rate of return with the account in expenses of cost of artificial substrata, directions of increase of a production efficiency are determined by энергосбережения in branch, the technique of optimization of structure of manufacture of vegetables and methodical approaches concerning definition of the price of realization of production isadvanced. A degree of introduction: The offers developed by the author concerning revealing ways of reduction of the cost price of vegetables due to economy of power inputs, reconstruction of hothouse combines, change of terms of realization of vegetables are entered into practical activities of the agricultural enterprises (TOV " Prospect " of Donetsk area, p/g "Yaltinskoe" UsAVR Ukraine АР Crimea, TOV " Krasnogradskaya vegetable factory " the Kharkov area, TOV " Аgrofirma " The Vegetable grower " the Zaporozhye area). Efficiency: uses of results of research conducts to increase of efficiency of vegetable growing of the closed ground in winter hothouses, to increase of competitiveness of branch.
