Kuntsevska A. Intrapersonal conflicts in social workers' activity.

The thesis is devoted to research of psychological structure of intrapersonal conflicts of social workers and to the determining of main directions of its diagnostics and overcoming. The intrapersonal conflict of social workers is considered as a result of some system contradictions inherent to professional activity, which cause contradictions in professional consciousness of specialists. These contradictions have some levels: the level of practical activity deals with real professional and vital situations; the socio-normative level includes accepted standards and norms of professional activity; the value level is presented by the system of individual professional intentions, values and attitudes. The analysis of data, received in expert and mass researches, and also on materials of training, allows to conclude that prevention and correction work with the intrapersonal conflicts of social workers is possible only after passing some stages. The main ones are: the reflection of an intrapersonal conflict, it experiencing by the personality of a social worker, its expression (external manifestation) and formation of individual strategy of overcoming of intrapersonal conflict. The typical strategies have been distinguished, such as: "alienation", "modeling", "changing of position" and "depreciation".
