Doroftey O. Conception of Ivan Franko's Polish and German publicism and literatury criticism works: genre and style peculiarities

The dissertation is dedicated to the problems and aethetico-stylistic intentions of Ivan Franko's Polish and German publicism and literatury criticism works. We researched the main concepts of Franko's Polish criticism,its significance in the development of the positivism theory in the Polish literature, in establishing intercultural dialogues in the frames of Polish-Ukrainian literature interactions, Franko's main accent and estimations of the Polish literature were determined. A detail analysis of ideological principles of Franko's articles in the Polish press since 1878 through 1897, interpretation version of a series of cultural and historical problems of the social situation in Galicia of the last quarter of the 19 century is given, a special attention is given to the problem of collaboration with a ''Kraj'' Polish-language St. Petersburg magazine which operated on democratic principles and played a certain role in establishing international dialogue within Eastern Europe. The analysis of theoretical and literal achievements of Franko has been made .His contribution into the Polish press as a critic and journalist consists of the following main thematic strata: 1)theoretical and critical articles on the development of realistic poetry; 2)the articles popularizing the Ukrainian literature and culture; 3)the critical articles on the Polish literature.
