The thesis is devoted to psychologism of stories for children by Volodymyr Vynnychenko. Polemic intentions of the writer towards ukrainian literary tradition is viewed. Artistic psychologism of children's prose by Volodymyr Vynnychenko is considered. Such forms of psychological portrayal (concrete means of reflecting the characters' inner world) as portrait, inner monologue, psychological landscape, artistic detail, indirect speech is emphasized.
