Боцман А. Structural, Semantic and Pragmatic Peculiarities of Pharmaceutical Texts (a Study of English pharmaceutical leaflets).

The research is devoted to the integrated analysis of pharmaceutical texts used as the pharmaceutical profession and patient's leaflets. The structural research of pharmaceutical texts has shown that there is a text body segmentation into information zones, sections and subsections. There is a system of anaphora/cataphora references and a net which is formed with the name of medicine field in the texts. The semantic textual space has been described as the system of frames connected with interframe net. The prevalent style features of discursive forms are characters of the academic style with some elements of forensic style too The system of indicators of addressing has been analysed within the pharmaceutical texts. These indicators are divided into some subgroups according to the functional and semantic features. All the indicators of addressing form a model of the text information reception, and they give the possibility of restoring the system of adressants. The company which provides manufacturing and initiates the development of new drugs may be regarded as a macrosender. Correlation between structural, semantic and pragmatic components creates the possibility of realizing the pharmaceutical text coherence and cohesion.
