In the thesis the immune and cytokine status of the patients with superficial bladder cancer before and after the operation was analyzed depending on the method of treatment: transurethral resection of tumor as monotherapy, transurethral resection of tumor with adjuvant intravesical instillation of doxorubicin, transurethral resection of tumor with neoadjuvant intramuscular interferonotherapy and adjuvant intravesical instillation of doxorubicin. In the postoperative period the immune status in the patients after adjuvant endovesical chemotherapy with doxorubicin was the same as in the patients without chemotherapy, decreased recurrence rate after 1 year in the first group (38.9%) in comparison with the second group (54.8%) indicates the beneficial local effect of doxorubicin and absence of its effect on the immune system. The most profound changes in the immune and cytokine status were diagnosed in patients treated with neoadjuvant interferonotherapy, TUR of bladder tumor and adjuvant endovesical installation of doxorubicin correlating with decrease of recurrence rate in 7.5% comparing with the group treated with TUR and adjuvant endovesical chemotherapy.
