For the first time, a complete and comprehensive study of protoexlibris and a superexlibris was conducted in the Ukraine. According to historical documents, this native exlibris heritage has evolved through almost five centuries to its current state. Starting in the late 19th century, interest in the study of exlibris has greatly increased to the point of national recognition.
