Essay

Thesis is devoted to studying the role of suprasegmental nervous system, vegetative providing of activity, cerebral and bioelectric reactivity in patients with a symptomatic locally stipulated epilepsy within interseizure period. Considerable parasympathetic effect of suprasegmental nervous system with an increase in its numerical value up to the maximum of pre-seizure state, being a decompensation factor, was revealed. Predomination of slight sympathetic effect or eutonia is compensation-typical state. Vascular and bioelectrical hyporeactivity or complete areactivity are also related to decompensation factors, but its recovery is among the favourable ones. Correlation analysis of mediator exchange (DA, NA and ST) with changes in vegetative regulation in patients with clinical decompensation enabled revealing its significant dysbalance, manifesting by a decrease in DA and ST content, a slight NA increase, that indicated to predomination of inhibitory processes in mediator exchange at the background ofparasympathotonia predomination. Combined study of vegetative tonus, vegetative activity providing, mediator exchange, vascular and bioelectric reactivity allowed to determine the forecasting criteria for states of clinical decompensation and the probability of seizure occurrence and the severity degree of pathological process. Key words: epilepsy, metabolic exchange, vascular reactivity, bioelectrical reactivity, compensation, decompensation.
