Essay

The thesis is devoted to the postcritical solution construction and analysis for non-linear boundary problems, which govern axially compressed or pressured cylindrical shells. The variational method of iterative variants decomposition is put forward in the thesis. The method coupled with the path-tracing method is able to construct postcritical solutions and fix singular points of any kind. The technique of singular point analysis to compute its degeneracy is proposed in the thesis likewise. The method was employed to determine the solution branching for non-linear boundary problems, which govern axially compressed or pressured cylindrical shells, in the wide-range simulation. The regions of existence by the load parameter and the deflection norm are determined for different postcritical forms of deformation. The application areas are space vehicle construction, building construction.
