The Ph.D. thesis is devoted to to revealing of the basic principles of formation and preservation of architecture of public spaces in the apartment houses of the late 19-th - early 20-th centuries in Lviv. On the basis of complex research planning and architectural, stylistic and composite decisions, of the received results the recommendations concerning preservation and new design of public spaces of apartment houses were developed.
