The kinetic model of the electrothermal atomization processes was developed, which took into account the penetration of a sample inside graphite. It was found that the essential contribution to the formation of atomic absorption signal is made by two processes of free atoms entry in analytical zone, parallel in time: one being on the furnace's surface, and another - in the bulk of the wall of the graphite furnace. The physical meaning of the parameters of the kinetic model of atomization process was established.
