The manuscript provides an analysis of establishing the theoretical issues of linguistic image of an author. The image of an author is treated as a categorial uniting unit, structure of category of author's image. The linguistic structure of author's image in the works of Y.Fedkovych has been analysed for the first time in the dissertation based on factual material: poetry, prose, drama and his letters. Y.Fedkovych is the founder of Ukrainian writers on Western Ukrainian lands, and specific lexico-stylistic and organizational structures of the text have been established.
