Object - institute of political leadership as the public phenomenon; the purpose is analysis of modern tendencies of forming of institute of political leadership and their display in Ukraine; methods - sociological, structurally-functional, system, historical, axiological, comparative; novelty – the political science analysis of tendencies of forming of institute of political leadership is carried out on the example of activity of public authorities, public organizations and their leaders in Ukraine; results - development of institute of political leadership in Ukraine does not conflict with modern world tendencies; it is introduced in a research sphere, educational courses on political science; fields - vocational training, the theory of politics, political practice.
