Object of the study: Hypoxia (distress) of the intrauterine fetus. Purpose of the study: To improve the efficacy of therapy by means of administration of medical ozone in the complex of treat-ment. Methods of the study: Clinical laboratory, biochemical, immu-nological, immunoenzyme, ultrasound, statistical methods. Practical significance: A new complex of measures of non-drug, pathogenetically validated treatment in intrauterine fetus hypoxia (with the use of ozone) was worked out. The dose of ozone opti-mum for treatment of intrauterine fetus hypoxia was substantiated. A method of ozone therapy for distress of the uterine fetus was worked out. The findings of the research of the level of hormones and immunological parameters of the blood were used to prove the high efficacy of the method when compared with traditional methods of treatment. The use of the developed method will allow to improve the efficacy of fetus hypoxia treatment and to reduce the perinatal losses, to increase the birth rate of mature newborns. Novelty of the obtained results: For the first time, the capability of medical ozone to influence the immunological and hormonal state of the interrelations between the organisms of the mother and fetus was revealed. It was proved that CIC and Ig levels in the blood of the pregnant normalize after the course of treatment with medical ozone, their correlation with neutrophil activation was revealed. This "soft" influence on the immunity of the pregnant was shown to have advantages before other methods of treatment as activation of the humoral link of the immunity is a premise for the other important effects: improvement of metabolism, hormonal state, etc., which causes normalization of the clinical results. The use of medical ozone is shown to stimulate hormone production in the fetoplacental complex (increases estradiol and placental lactogen levels), favorably influences uterine-placental blood flow, improves oxygen supply to the fetus. A method of hypoxia treatment in the intrauterine fetus using medical ozone was worked out foe the first time. Introduction: The worked out method of treatment was introduced into the work of maternity hospital No. 5 (Kharkiv), maternity departments of Dergachi and Krasnograd CDH, maternity hospitals NO. 1 and 3 (Kharkiv). Methodological recommendations "Ozone therapy in obstetrics and gynecology", "The use of ozone therapy in obstetrics and gynecology" were worked out and introduced into the practice of obstetrics and gynecology. Sphere of application: medicine, obstetrics and gynecology/
