Schkrobot Т. The substantiation of the safety of breastfeeding in neonates with risk of congenital syphilis

The dissertation contributes to increase the efficiency of diagnosis and monitoring of the safety of breastfeeding of neonates born from the mothers had been ill on a syphilis. The main objectives of this work was the substantiation of safety of breastfeeding in neonates born from the mothers with established syphilis and after the specific and preventive antisyphilitic treatment had the positive serological tests during studied pregnancy. There were observed 90 mothers, which have received antisyphilitic treatment during pregnancy and their 90 newbornes. All children were on breastfeeding not less than 6 months. The conducted researches have established that the leading criterion of safe breastfeeding is the termination of a course of specific and preventive treatment of a lues during pregnancy. The termination of antisyphilitic treatment after 28 weeks of pregnancy does not resolve to evaluate quality of the conducted therapy on the moment of labour, newborn of these mothers should take a preventivetreatment. The intrusion of outcomes of this scientific researches and clinical supervisions in medical practice will allow to prevent the ungrounded waiving of breastfeeding of neonates born from the mothers, who have had been ill with a lues.
