Rogova E. Right to Life in the System of Human Rights

The thesis focuses on complex research of the essence of human right to life. It extends the overview of its place in the system of human rights. Definition of right to life is given, the system of standards and legal principles of its protection is specified. Based on the analysis of philosophic-legal and theoretic-legal heritage, reasoning of extended interpretation of the essence of human right to life, not only in vital (biological) but also in social and spiritual meaning, is presented. Human right to life is described as phenomena which includes vital-time, social-economic criminal-law and others aspects. Necessity of adoption the law in Ukraine that would define legal nature of the phenomena connected with exercise of right to life and embody the principles of legal protection of human life in Ukraine is grounded.
