Complex analysis of the new tendencies of the Austrian party system development, changes in the party landscape at the border of the XX - XXI centuries has been realized. It was proved, that the Austrian party system transformed from the two-party system to the multi-party system of the moderate pluralism. The peculiarities and specific character of the Austrian political development have been researched.
