The work is devoted to comprehensive theoretical research of the problem of correlation of time and law system. Such connected with the law system time forms as calendar time, social time and legal time are distinguished. The legal time is defined as a special form of social time, which is formed by law reality phenomena, and the matter and meaning of this form are researched. Here such questions as objective and subjective times, the problems of temporal legal regulation and timeliness are distinguished and described. The thesis also contains the analysis of some problems of force of law in the calendar time. The calendar and actual (immediate, retroactive, perspective, ultra-active) temporal operation of the norms of law are researched. The features of the operation of the norms of international agreements, which are the part of national legislation, are elucidated. The theoretical provisions, practical conclusions and recommendations on the researched questions are formulated in the work.
