Gorbulich O. Diagnostics and surgery of antireflux barier function

Оbjective: was to improve the functional diagnostics of lover esophageal sphincter elements, determining their role in development of serve forms of reflux desease, and to optmise approach and methods of antireflux surgery. Metods: determining quality of life - SF-36, GERD-HRQOLI, rentgen, endosopy, esophageal manometry and electromyography. Results: Symptom analysis allowed us to improve indications for early surgical correction. Diagnostic method to estimate contribution of lower esophageal sphincter parts in maintainihg of its basal pressure were developed. The results of developed modfied antireflux operations and tailored approach indicate that it also improve clinical results of antireflux surgery. Modified operations proved to be done laparoscopically.
