Essay

The dissertation presents the investigation of prognostic value of heart rate variability and diurnal changes of blood pressure in patients with myocardial infarction (MI). It was demonstrated the necessity of heart rate variability study and blood pressure monitoring 7-10 days and six months after myocardial infarction for risk stratification. The most informative parameters of heart rate variability have been revealed for poor prognosis after myocardial infarction. It was defined more precisely the peculiarities of medical treatment influence on heart rate variability dynamic and it was confirmed the necessity of ACE inhibitors and beta-adrenoblockers combining in patients with myocardial infarction. It was determined that increase of systolic blood pressure variability >16 mm. Hg. six months after myocardial infarction is associated with poor long-term outcomes during further observation.
