Paskevska J. Formation of speech competence in future psychologists in the process of vocational training.

The thesis presents theoretical and experimental research in speech competence formation at the stage of professional education of student psychologists. The main approaches to investigation of speech competence were determined that are present in foreign and Ukrainian psychological studies. The structural-functional model of psychologists' speech competence has been developed and tested. The grounds were found that dialogical approach can be successfully used as a method of educational process management during speech competence training. The experimental data was obtained proving that the use of basic speech competence practicum as a form of vocational training of psychologists was effective and reasonable. The psychological conditions underlying effective formation of speech competence in future psychologists were elicited.
