Yanus O. Pharmacological correction of the metabolic factors of ischemic heart disease progression with trimetazidine MR and its influence upon the postinfarction period clinical course

There were investigated the peculiarities of IHD clinical course, changes of cardiac functional possibilities in postinfarctional period in dependence on the extent of systemic metabolic disturbances, activity of systemic inflammation and oxidative stress, atherogenic plasmа potential; there were also determined the mechanisms and therapeutic efficacy of pharmacological influences with the use of trimetazidine MR. The investigation was performed in clinical and experimental conditions. In the clinical part was established that the trimetazidine MR use was followed by significant clinical effect, acceleration of cardiohemodynamic restoration and increase of cardiac functional possibilities in association with the inhibition of systemic inflammation, oxidative stress, pronounced normalization of systemic metabolic disturbances, increase of insulin sensitivity, lowering of atherogenic plasma potential. In experimental part of the investigation was established the presence of direct anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, anti-atherogenic and systemic metabolic action of trimetazidine MR independent on it's cardiotrophic abilities. The obtained data show the efficacy and validity of trimetazidine MR use in patients with ischemic heart disease in postinfarctional period.
