Burd N. Pharmacognostic study of some species of Amaranth genus plants.

This is the first time the competitive pharmacognostic study of overground organs of some Amaranthus L. genus plants of Ukrainian flora has been carried out. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of different groups of biological active substances of Amaranth plant material and lipophilic fraction from over ground organs have been studied. The 23 individual substances have been isolated and structure of 4 derivatives of cinnamic acid, 2 derivatives of coumarins, 8 flavonoides, 2 catechines, 1 triterpen acid, 1 steroid substance, 1 derivative of phospholipids, 2 chlorophylls and 2 carotinoids, 16 amino acids, 20 macro- and microelements has been determined. Lipophilic fraction from Amaranth overground organs was obtained and its qualitative and quantitative analysis showed presence of 24 fate acids, chlorophylls and carotenoids. On the basis of lipophilic fraction treatment and preventive cream has been developed; the anti-inflammatory action of the cream has been determined
