Ivanko A. Regulation of regional agricultural production

Theoretical concepts of state regulation of agricultural production on the national and regional levels are summarized, regional agricultural policy and its features are determined, methodological issues of the regional agricultural production analysis are systematized. Current structure and developments of agricultural production in the region are analyzed; impacts of different factors on the economic activity of agricultural enterprises and production of specific agricultural products are estimated. According to financial and economic position, large farms are classified into distinct groups and relevant measures of state support for each group are proposed. Proposals for optimization of agricultural production structure are developed on the basis of conducted cluster analysis of distinct regions. Main directions of state support of regional agriculture are determined, that is improvement of budget financing including financing from region's budget, and market regulation including demand and supply regulation, monitoring and forecasting activity, and market information.
