Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of formation of the communicative competency of future foreign language teachers as an integral component of their professional competence. It has been investigated how much the concerned problem was studied in the theory and practice of education. The communicative competency model is theoretically determined; the elements of this competency (motivational, cognitive, personal and reflexive) are defined. The criteria and levels of the studied competency are suggested. It has been proved that formation of the communicative competency of future foreign language teachers at higher pedagogical educational institutions can be effective under the following conditions: creation of educational communicative environment on the basis of personally-oriented and developing training; providing inter-subject relations between psycho-pedagogical, language and methodical branches of professional training; systematic use of pedagogical diagnostics in professional training. As the result the model of formation of the communicative competency of future foreign language teachers has been suggested. It underlines the aim, pedagogical conditions, stages and means of realization of professional training.
