The research is dedicated to consideration of theoretical and practical aspects of development of professional competence of experts in customs business, during improvement of professional skills. The analysis of the psychological and pedagogical literature has been lead in this Thesis. The maintenance and structure of professional competence of the expert as a pedagogical category were opened on the basis of this analysis. Professional competence is treated as a united structure which consists of common and professional knowledge, practical skills, which were created on the basis of professional skills, motivation to self-development, and professional experience of expert that provides his/her highly-effective activity. On the basis of the model the author devises the criteria and standards of professional competence of experts in customs business which were used in a pedagogical technique for professional development during improvement of professional skills. The author determined didactic condition as well as gave methodical factors of development of professional competence of experts in customs business during improvement of professional skills.
