The object of research is the processes of forming and effective functioning of the grain production subcomplex of Ukraine. Deep research was made in the enterprises of the Kirovograd region. The theoretical and methodological bases of the research consist of: dialectical method of knowledge, system approach towards the study of economical process, scientific heritage of domestic and foreign economy, legislation dealing with functioning, economy analysis and prognosis of the tendencies of the grain production sub complex development. The scientific novelty of achieved results is concluded in research of theoretical, methodical and practical trends of improvement basing and raising the efficiency of the grain production subcomplex functioning. Achieved results form the scientific background for solving the problems of raising the efficiency of the grain production subcomplex functioning.
