Thesis is devoted to the analysis of essence and meaning of legality in customs agencies’ activity. Principles, demands, guarantees and means of guaranteeing legality in customs agencies’ activity are characterized; its modern state is analyzed. Essence and peculiarities of control as the most effective mean of guaranteeing legality in the activity of above stated agencies are elucidated; their contents and peculiarities are determined. Peculiarities of citizens’ appeals and procurator’s supervision as a mean of guaranteeing legality in customs agencies’ activity are determined.
