Pavliyk P. 3. Research of design and technology peculiarities of engineering, structure, upkeep of built-up roofs.

Experience of many years shows that the most rational in this sense is construction of garret roofs. At the same time it is known that the prevailing scope of roofing works connected with industrial construction at buildings of which, as a rule, it is impossible to use rafters. At buildings with the big area of coverings are made so called "built-up roofs", where roofing carpet is placed directly over the whole surface of heat-proof layer. The complex of the made studies achieves two circles of tasks: the first one - to establish the cause of quick out-of-service of built-up roofs; the second one - to find and ground the more perfect approach to con-struction of such roofs excluded this cause.It is grounded that a basic cause of unprofitableness of built-up roofs is a quick accumulation of condensed moisture. It is found the concept of fulfilment of a new technology process on design of anti-condensed and drainage systems, the use of which approaches the ef-fectiveness of use of built-up roofs to the level of gar-ret's one. It is investigated and developed the necessary technical decisions in realization of elaborations on the thesis work. The results of investigations are proves in the practice of construction procedure
