The object of the investigation in the given thesis is W. S. Maugham's creative activity and its Ukrainian and Russian translations. The objective of the dissertation is to research the dynamic of the various forms, ways, types of W. S. Maugham's reception based on the syn-chronous and diachronic layers in the English, Ukrainian and Russian discurs. The practical value of the research relies in the possibility to use the obtained results for the courses of For-eign Literature History, Comparative Literature, Stylistics, Text's Interpretations, Theory and Prac-tical Translation. The methods: historical com-parative, interpretational, comparative typological.
