implementing of distance education into educational process at universities, particularly to advancement of correspondence teaching due to usage of a didactically grounded model of distance education.The state of the problem is analyzed in the scientific-pedagogical literature.In the research the author presents the theoretical model of distance education which is developed and grounded. The model was adopted for distance learning of computer science and mathematics. Didactic factors that influence the effectiveness of educational process were determined.
