Essay

Dynamic response of railway tanks which tank heads are equipped with increased power absorbing accident protection devices at emergency impact loadings. The aim of work: increase of safety of motion of tank-cars for ecologically dangerous cargoes transportation including new generation gas tank-cars by equipment of the tank heads by accident protection devices with increased power absorption. Research methods: a finite element method, numerical integration methods, variable parameters of elasticity method, experimental methods. New finite element mathematical models for the nonlinear dynamic analysis of elastic-plastic deformations of the tank-cars tank heads with devices of their protection at emergency impacts are developed within the framework of the deformation theory of plasticity accounting nonlinear dependence between deformations and displacements. For the first time dependences of different types accident protection devices parameters influence on tank-car design strength at super standard impacts are received. The concept of proposal accident protection devices containing cellular power absorbing elements rational parameters choice is created for the first time. As a result of the executed research the 15-9503 АVP model tank-car structure equipped by the developed safety end-wall shields with cellular power-absorbing elements is made, tested, and implemented into production by public corporation “Мariupol heavy engineering plant”. The benefit is 5596500 UAH per year. Sphere of use is railway transport.
