Thesis for a candidate of science degree by speciality 19.00.04 - medical psychology. Kharkov medical academy of postgraduate studies UMH. - Kharkov, 2006. In the thesis on the basis of systemic approach to studding pathological masturbation in men there are revealed its different types and clinical forms, and determined their diagnostic criteria. Specific personality distress in men are studied and their connection with the pathological masturbation is pointed out. Disorders of different stages of patients sex development and forming disorder of sex preferences in them are determined. The author developed an effective system of psychotherapeutic correction of personality disorder, pathological masturbation in men and spouses desadaptation caused by it.
