Serputko A. The Semantic and Functional Parameters of Verbs of Attitude to an Object and a Subject

The Thesis is devoted to the semantic and functional aspects of investigation of the lexico-semantic group of attitude verbs of the Ukrainian language. It is the first time in history of the Ukrainian linguistics that the attitude verbs have been put into an individual lexico-semantic group, and its classification into the appropriate microgroups has been proposed. It comprehensively describes the semantic peculiarity and the grammatical features of the attitude verbs and analyses the specific character of its functioning in the Ukrainian sentence structure. The perspective of the Thesis lies in capability of using of its findings in a complex analysis of other lexico-semantic groups of verbs as well as an interpart investigation of the semantics of attitude.
