Essay

Basing of analysis of legal acts and court documents, the dissertation is examining court system and court procedure in Ukrainian lands that belonged to Great Lithuanian Duchy and after 1569 - to Rech Pospolita Polska. In the dissertation basic activities, organization and competence of court authorities, that acted on the above territories, and characteristics of court cases examination have been examined. It has been established that qualitative changes in regional court authorities and court procedures had occurred as a result of reform in 1564 - 1566. While the examination there have been particularities of status of participants of court process and procedure of court examination revealed, character, principles, main points and stages of court process determined. Considerable attention has been put to research, investigative, court and executive procedures. Main stages of formation of instance relations between court authorities have been analyzed, under which there have been four periods of theirdevelopment defined.
