Object: the professional training of a future economist in agriculture. Objective: to give the theoretical ground, develop and experimental test the system effectiveness of of vocational informa-tional training with the regard for a information activity specifity in agriculture. Methods: theoretical, empirical. Practical significance: the qualifying requirements to information activity of the economist in agriculture have been grounded, the methods of information training of the economist in agriculture have been improved, the educational program informatics course for economic specialities in agrarian high educational institution is offered.
