Essay

The object is phraseological units with the component “khata” in the Ukrainian language; the aim is to reveal structural and ethnocultural peculiarities of phraseological units with the component “khata” in the Ukrainian language, to determine the place and the role of phraseological units with the component “khata” in the forming language picture of the world of Ukrainian people; the methods are continuous selections, mental and linguistic experiment, cultural linguistic analysis, linguistic observation and description, semantic, semantic and pragmatic, syntactic semantic, comparative, transformative, quantitative method. The novelty lies in the fact that for the first time complex analysis of the phraseological units with the component “khata” from the point of view of semantics, structure, ethnoculture is done; the results are the new ideographic link – “semantic block” is distinguished; the two types of the organization of phraseological units: “semantic net” and “semantic chain” are defined; thebase of the cult actions of Ukrainian peasant is mythological consciousness which lies in synthesis of the religious rules of Paganism and Christianity; the area is phraseology.
