In dissertation the nature of the illegal migration phenomena is described, illegal migration is correlated with other international challenges, state measures on prevention counteraction against illegal migration are analyzed; the research into the main principles of forming mechanisms of measures against illegal migration in EU countries has been carried out; factors of influence on the migration constituent of national security are systematized and examined; suggestions on improving mechanisms of fighting illegal migration to ensure Ukraine’s national security are made.
