Essay

The dissertation covers the issues of analogy strategies development in senior pre-school-age children. The theoretical analysis enabled the author to give the definitions of creative activity and of analogy strategies inherent to the subject. Peculiarities and mechanisms of the above strategies' manifestation and development were investigated. Conceptual inferences were made regarding the level of development of creative intellectual actions in senior pre-school-age children; prerequisites of their development elicited. The experiment was conducted, intended for study of specificity of analogy strategies' manifestation in creative activity of senior pre-school-age children; obtained and analysed were the data indicative of the level of analogy strategies' development. The author developed and experimentally tested the conceptual model and all-embracing technique of analogy strategies' development. The creative tasks that underlie the creative training technique, are aimed at the development of positive emotional attitude of senior pre-school-age children towards creative activity, formation of sensory experience, and improvement of analogy skills. Procedural recommendations were elaborated for teachers and psychologists in kindergartens with respect to development of analogy strategies in senior pre-school-age children.
