Essay

Object of study - anti-babesial drugs Anaplasma ovis and Babesia ovis invasion of sheep. Purpose - to develop rational measures of medical treatment and prophylaxis of mixed forms of hematozoon invasions of sheep and perfect diagnostics in case of these diseases, to study new preparation - "Solgum" Parasitology, haematological, biochemical, toxicological and statistical methods. Efficiency of combinations of anti-babesial drugs with several prolongation substances was tested on the mixed form of Anaplasma ovis and Babesia ovis invasion of sheep in the Crimea. Method of express-diagnostics of mixed forms of blood parasitic invasions by luminescent microscopy is proposed. The prophylactic and medical properties of the new anti-babesial drugs "Solgum" was studied in the case of the mixed Anaplasma and Babesia ovis. Subcutaneous or intramuscular administration of this drug at the dose of 0,002 g per kg of body weight during the massive attack of ticks-carriers prevents development of Babesia ovis and inhibits appearance of Anaplasma ovis in blood for 22 days, that result in the mild course of disease. The "Solgum" preparation belongs to the matters of medium toxicity, LD50 is 125 mg per kg body weight that is 62 times more then therapeutic dose - 2, 0 mg per kg body weight. Double subcutaneous administration of preparation to sheep at the dose of 10 mg per kg body weight clears organism from Anaplasma ovis and does not cause clinical signs of toxicosis. The scientific novelty to bee acknowledges the 3 patents on the inovention. The methodical recommendations "The Diagnostics and methods measures over the control with of the hematoparasitic disease of sheep in the Crimea" have been development. The results of the work maybe will bee used in the applied veterinary medicine, sheep breeding and in the studies during tesching course "Parasitology and invasion diseases" in the academy by third and fourth level accreditation.
