Essay

The dissertation presents the definition of incidence and predictors of development of paroxysmal supraventricular arrhythmias (SVA) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and investigation of the clinical course and in-hospital prognosis. It was established that incidence of SVA in patients with AMI is 9,61%. It was proved that independent predictors of SVA development are advanced age, Q-myocardial infarction, larger left atrium diameter, and lower ejection fraction of left ventricle. Clinical course and in-hospital prognosis in patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated by SVA development was worse then in AMI patients without SVA. Indication of the thrombolytic agents, beta-adrenoblockers and ACE inhibitors decreased probability of SVA development in patients with AMI complicated by SVA.
