I.A.Bunin's fiction. To reveal and to describe peculiarities of the motives of the West and the East in I.Bunin's fiction. The motive analyze, the comparative-historical, typological, biographical, contextial methods are used. The peculiarities and the specificity of the motives of the West and the East and their artistic impersonification in I.Bunin's fiction are under study. The motive connections of I.Bunin's fiction and other cultures' images, religious studies and philosophical conceptions. I.Bunin's fictional texts of different periods are analyzed, which gives a chance to comment on typical motives, relating to the writer's reception of the Western and Eastern cultures. The system investigations of the Russian and foreign literatures are sphere of using.
