The little-studied in domestic science problem of personality of a composer in the history of Ukrainian musical culture of the XX century is viewed in the dissertation. In this work historic and culturological preconditions of development of Ukrainian composer creativity are also analyzed, and оn examples of the creative persons - Ukrainian composers K. Stetsenko, M. Leontovich, C. Lyudkevich. L, Revutskij, B. Kyatoshinskij, M. Skoryk, V. Gubarenko, Lessya Dychko tendencies of the composer persons objectivation in music are determined. In the research the most known and widespread theoretical approaches to understanding of personality of a composer are stated. Dominating factors which exerted influence on formation of uniqueness of personality of a composer are examined. Among directions of еру research of the given problem it is possible to name the culturological, or contextual, approach, which caused by influence of the theoretical concepts of Yu. Lotman and М. Bakhtin etc; the sociocultural approach, which displayed in the works of B. Ananjev, I. Kon, O. Leontjev etc.; the value approach in the works of M. Aranovsrij, E. Bassin, M. Lokhtin etc. In researches on a history of the Ukrainian musical culture The study of the persons of the separate artists occupies the significant place. The are first of all the works of L. Arkhimovich, I. Belsa, O. Zaval'nuk, C. Lissetskij etc. The original sources' direction of researches becomes popular recently in the domestic musicological science. At the same time the generalized research of a phenomenon of the person in the Ukrainian musical culture yet is not carried out. In the dissertation as the subject of culture the man is interpreted as the person and individuality. In the system of the subject and object relations the human factor as the subject of musical art comes to light in two forms: а) in the form of the person as self-values, when music acts by "continuation"of the person; б) in the form of the humanizing validity which called to give to the man the spirituality to satisfy his spiritual and practical needs. In this connection it is lawful to consider musical creativity as a specific way of self-realization of the person through the representation in his works first of all of internal contents of the composer, his originality. The author of dissertation carries the laws of political development to the historical and culturological factors of development of the Ukrainian composer' creativity of ХХth century. At this moment the process of professionalization of composer' and masterly creativity which introduced by improvement of a network of educational musical establishments, dynamism of concert activity typed the prompt rate. The stylistic and genre palette of domestic music is enriched, the composer' notice becomes complicated, the art innovative ideas are put forward. The person of the composer - representative "of the folklore wave" (beginning of ХХth century - 50-th years) is designated by the tendency to national self-determination, aspiration to participate during creation of the state, spiritual revival, all-round development of the people. The en try of the national painted person of the artist in the art - aesthetic context of epoch has taken place. The person musical of the new "stylistic wave" is characterized by searches, innovation, the aggravated psychologism and expressivity, philosophical meditations above questions of sense of life. All these people are extraverts. Therefore their professional activity is designated by an inconsistent interlacing of classical traditions and national folklore with innovative search, courageous experiment, ability to stun the hearer with the eztravagant professional decisions. In this sphere the originality of art searches of the foremen of modern Ukrainian music is brightly reflected. At the same time the traditional directions of chamber music - lyric drama, lyric epics and folk genre successfully develop.
