Khomych V. Functional Differentiation of Prepositional Case Forms in the Structure of the Simple Sentence .

This research paper provides a complex study of the functions of primary substantial (locative) and secondary predicative (temporal, causal) syntactic units which belong to prepositional-declensional type. As a result of the research functionally transpositional groups and sub-groups were singled out in each semantic paradigm. The thesis also suggests the differentiation between the primary and sec-ondary functions of the indicated syntactic units on the basis of functional transposi-tion and taking into account the peculiarities of the formal and semantic structure of simple sentences. Besides the paper focused on defining basic and derivative posi-tions for syntactic units, describing the mechanism of their transference and analyz-ing the reasons for impossibility of this phenomenon.
