This dissertation is devoted to the solution of the important scientific and technical task – to study the mechanism of veneer rolling influence on physical and mechanical properties of plywood and the development of the regime of glueing plywood from rolled veneer. This paper develops essentially new method of mechanical activation of rotary-cut veneer with the aim of raising adhesive joint strength wohich lies in affecting the veneer by cylindrical shaft. This method allows to control the adhesive strength adhesive joints thanks to the mechanical influence on veneer. This paper describes a physical model of plywood glueing process, mathematically deseribes the change of plywood adhesive strength depending on wood properties and rolling parameters; determines correlation between shear strength plywood and roughness of veneer surface; accomplishes planning; researches and analyses experimental results; creates regressive models of plywood strength under static bending, shear strength and plywood compression. This paper scientifically substantiates (practical) recommendations on treatment of veneer surface in order to raise its adhesive ability to glueing materials. At suggests optimal regimes of veneer.
