Novikova O. Structural and semantic expression of determinant members of the sentence in the contemporary Ukrainian language

Dissertation investigation is devoted to studying one of the separate guestions of communicative organization of the sentence - the role of determinant members in the explication of space, time, causative, conditional, purposeful, characterizing and other meanings in semantic-syntactical structure of the sentence in the contemporary Ukrainian language. Status of determinant constructions, which convey different relations, needs special investigation concerning the level of expressing their obligatory and optional entry to the structure of the sentence, as well as full description and analysis of their structural and semantic exposure. Besides, the problem of determinant syncretism appears to be rather difficult and ambiguous. The necessity of investigating this phenomenon in the sphere of prepositional spreaders is caused by the need in further development of teaching about the compatibility of the sentence members and the interaction between the components of the utterance at the level of its formal and semantic structure.
