Essay

Dissertation was devoted to the study of ultrastructural and ultracytochemical features of cardiomyocytes (CMC) and capillaries of auricles and left ventricle (LV) during aging and after administration of vasopressin and acute hypoxic hypoxia. Research was conducted on male Wistar rats of 6-7 and 24-27 months of age. It was discovered, that cardiomyocytes of auricles undergo less destructive changes, than cardiomyocytes of LV. Thus, accumulation of granules of lipofuscin, destruction of myofibrils, decline of activity of alkaline phosphatase, glucose-6-phosphatase, Са2+-ATPase and 5’-nucleotidase in blood tissue barrier were more pronounced in myocardium of LV, than in auricles. At the same time, adaptation alterations were more expressed in CMC of auricles: increase of nuclei and nucleoli area, deepening of nuclear invaginations, as well as increase of amount of secretory granules and area of mature granules testified to activation of secretory function of auricle CMC. In case of increased functionalloading (influence of vasopressin and acute hypoxia) young rats underwent activation of protein synthesis and energy metabolism in CMC of auricles in greater extent, than in LV; in case of old animals, destructive changes in CMC of auricles and LV were expressed in an equal degree, while in capillaries reaction was more acute in auricles.
